A Baule headdress mask with open mouth and a remarkable knot-shaped hairstyle. Normally the Baule and Guro have face-mansks, but in some cases they are using headdress-masks, which are worn on the head at a 45 degree angle. The mask wearer then looks through the open mouth or through the fringes of the raffia attachment; heavey reddish wood with an encristed sacrification patina.
