A Dan fire runner's mask, from the region Biankouma, Ivory Coast/Liberia, of hollowed form, a pointed chin, a protruding slightly open mouth with full lips, a pierced broad nose, pierced round eyes, a domed forehead, the mask pierced through for attachment; blackened partly shiny patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks, incl. stand.
