A Senufo couple, Ivory Coast, standing on the round base, sturdy legs leading to prominent buttocks, accentuated genitals, a slender torso with a protruding abdomen, the female has firm cone-shaped breasts, both have rounded shoulders terminating in bent arms, both are wearing two armlets on both upper arms and a bracelet on both wrists, the male is holding a sickle in his right hand, the long and slender neck supporting an elongated head with a prominent jaw, a protruding rectangular mouth showing the gritted teeth, the female is wearing a labret, both have a long nose leading to high arched brows, the curved nose is connected to the forehead, large and bulging coffee bean eyes, semicircular ears set towards the back of the head, incised scarification marks on the face and the body, the hairstyle crested with one braid hanging over the forehead, one on each side and one at the back of the head; hard wood, brown patina with traces of age and long lasting ritual use, several cracks.
