A Do´Njelini sculpture of the Do also called Jo society (literature, s Rietberg, Bamana catalogue) of the Torokoro village, from the other side of the river, about 40 km from Segou, posted on a fragmentary, cicular base, the legs stortened with prominent buttocks, the torso cylindrical and slender with a pointed navel, the prominent breasst on a planklike chest with rectangular shoulders, the openwork arms slightly bent and bandaged for ritual purpose, the neck elongated, the head helmetlike, framed by prominent ears; blackened, aged patina with thick layers of sacrifications.
