A male Baule sculpture of the Timbukro region, Ivory Coast, standing on a circular base, flattened feet, sightly bent legs, the arms carved close to the body with large hands touching the abdomen, the head with fine fascial features, the oval eyes surrounded with kaolin, the forehead with rows of scarifications, a domed, fine striated coiffur, blackened patina; provenance Abdu Barré (Ousmane) Lomé.
